Storyboard Development

I got my initial idea from Julien Valee. I continued to research his work and collaborations with other artists to enable me to develop my ideas further. I found a video from a collaboration with Eve Duhamel. It was produced by projecting light onto 3D Shapes. I had decided to create 3 30second animations. I could experiment with this idea, by creating the 'light projections' in after- effects. I also found this promotional poster, designed by Julien Vallee, i really like the contrast of the bold rigid 3D shapes against the forest background. For another one of my animations I will look at combining animation with live action recordings. I with either record this fotage myself, or aquire it from the net. I will animate my shapes on top of this background.

I also like this mix of paper, contrasted with computer generated effects. I hope to experiment further with this idea, using after effects.

I hope to create a non-narrative animation, which is abstract and with no particular meaning. I hope to experiment with a range of techniques and effects, rather than leading a well planned approach, as this will help me to create an animation that is more spontaneous.

I didn't create a storyboard as such, instead I produced images of how I hoped the final animation would look.
