Animations have seen huge developments since they were first produced, this is widely down to the advances in technology. Many early animations have no sound and have been produced in black and white, whereas now-a-days the majority of animations feature quite complex soundtracks or dialogue, and are regularly in full colour. Characters are now much more detailed and complex, and often more life-like and 'realistic'. The process of producing animations has also altered, with many new techniques such as CGI Technology.
